News From the PTA

The PTA at Wolf Swamp is always striving to assist our Teachers and staff by providing funds for specialized materials, teacher training seminars and special activities for their classrooms. For parents, we continue to build on the wonderful sense of community which is so strong here at Wolf Swamp; and for our children, we love to plan events that they can participate in and have a great time!

Getting involved in the PTA is a wonderful way to meet new people, interact with your child and their teachers and have fun! We are always open to new ideas and suggestions and hope that you will feel free to share your thoughts with us.

We appreciate any help you are able to give, whether you can spare just a few hours here and there, or would like to become more involved with a specific committee. Together we can continue to provide our children with the best possible school experience.

One of the biggest changes we have made this past year is to do our best to go paperless. We are relying almost exclusively on sending information home via email. To this end, we hope you will provide your email address to us—we do not share this information with anyone, and we do our best to keep the emails concise and down to a bare minimum.

Don’t hesitate to give us a call or email us with any questions or comments.

The "Birthday Book" Program

The "Birthday Book" program is a great way to contribute to the library, which benefits both our school and children. You can purchase books at Kiddly Winks or Barnes and Noble. At Kiddly Winks there are books set aside which the library needs or you may pick one of your choice. You can have a nameplate placed in each book with a special message.

Please take advantage of the program when thinking of gift giving or showing appreciation for teachers, friends, siblings and family members. "Birthday Books" may be given for a birthday, thank you, thinking of you, graduation, Hanukah, or Christmas. The possibilities are endless. What could be more wonderful than the gift of a new book?

Over the past few years, 200 books each year have been donated to the school's library. This is fabulous!! Let’s see if we can surpass that number this year. If you have any questions please call Kristen Cerasa. Thank you for your support!!

Box Tops Program Information

Free Fundraising Thermometer

Help us reach our 2011-12 goal of $2000!

Box Tops for Education Web SiteOur most popular freebie fundraiser resulted in $1,500 for the school last year! Simply clip the education box top logo from participating General Mills products such as: Hefty, Cottonelle, Betty Crocker, General Mills, Juicy Juice, Welch's, Ziploc, Scott, Hamburger Helper, etc. Put the box tops in a zip lock bag, mark the grade and teacher's name on the bag, and then send them into school with your child. Be sure to include the expiration date. Box Tops are submitted to General Mills in late March and the PTO receives 10 cents for every box top label.

Collections will be tallied on the last Wednesday of each month and winners will be announced on Friday of that week!
